Thoughts On The Super Moon Lunar Eclipse

The following is a recount of what went through my head as a result of the eclipse that happened tonight.

6:00pm – Oh man, I have so much homework and we’re not even home from rehearsal yet.

6:10pm – Man, the sun is bright.

6:35pm – THE SKYYYY IS SO AMAAAZIIIIINGG

6:45pm – //cue stop at the grocery store to pick up food//

6:58pm – Jeez, how long does it take to get beans and dog food?

7:02pm – Wait, what if we can’t see the moonrise from the yard?!?!?

7:07pm – Aaaaand now we’re driving driving driving more and there’s ice cream in the trunk is it gonna melt??????

7:12pm – There are so many clouds.

7:14pm – The internet says that the moon should be rising now. Internet, YOU ARE WRONG.

7:20pm – It is sosososososososo cold why did I not wear a jacket today.

7:41pm – CLOUDS PLEASE GO AWAY SO WE CAN SEE THE MOON.

7:54pm – //cue driving back home even though we couldn’t see the moon//

8:14pm – //cue enjoying delicious tamales along with aforementioned beans from the grocery store//

8:45pm – Mom notices that half the moon is still dark red, so we all go outside to the front yard. It is completely dark and I can’t feel my toes because it’s so cold. But somehow, it was just worth the ridiculous driving and lack of jackets and melting ice cream in the trunk of the car.

The moon was glowing.

Haha this is relatable 🙂 It’s already in the 40’s where I live, which totally sucks, but I was able to see the moon with little trouble 🙂

Just wanted to let you know that I deleted my old blog and created a new one at starrywriteblog.wordpress.com. I’d love if you could follow me on there 🙂
